The patio seating in the front of the store provides a nice ambience. There even is a fountain in the mid of greenery. It allows for the customer to create their own little piece of serenity and peace while enjoying the pastries and beverages.Covid 19 precautions are in place as of October 2021.The products are good; especially the Hokkaido Cheese Cake tart. The new beverages included Holiday Chocolate and Pumpkin Spice Latte. We tried the Holiday Chocolate. It was too salty and too sweet at the same time. We most likely wont order it again. Thats just us though.Customer had a bit of a strange experience in October 2021. The cashier took my order and then called over her colleague to comment on it in non-english language. It was weird. Customer could not help but feel excluded if not mocked by store staff?

Personally, I have loved 85degree’s bubble tea in Austin. The boba is always good texture and chewy. So I got here with no doubt but It was so disappointed and made me so sad because it is not what I got normally at 85degree cafe.1/3 of bubbles was over cooked, 1/3 of bubbles was not cooked well. Only 1/3 of bubbles cooked well and the thing that we order 3 bubble tea, all of them is same as what I mentioned.I hope they focus on boba not just sell them.

One of the only places you can get a Taro Smoothie without it tasting like powder. Thats the only thing I get here. Ive gandered at the large section of desserts, and they all look delicious. Granted the bread I would never buy from here. Head some rumors about them putting a sort of chemical that keeps the bread from spoiling, but the chemical in question is bad for your health. Only a rumor, but it still puts me off of getting any bread here. The Taro Slush though, Im down for.

I dont like to single out employees but this time, I feel like its necessary. My family and few friends visited the 85C cafe on a busy Saturday evening after coming from New Port Beach.I went inside with my other older friend to order some coffees and snacks..it was Saturday evening and people were packed. We selected the snacks we wanted and waited in the line of the cashier.. the lady or a girl in her mid 20s, a very very large female employee was running the transactions through the customers.I dont discriminate or judge employees based on their color, religion, physical status, size, weight, but ONLY to their customer service quality and friendliness..It was our turn and my older friend (who does not speak English fluently) told the lady what we wanted... I guess he wanted to use these opportunities to practice English and hopefully learn from the other.I calmly watched and spectated the whole scene, and although my friend did not use the perfect grammar and English, I was able to understand what he was trying to order. But I was also spectated the female employees reaction, while my friend was trying his best to order the correct order.. and I was immediately turned off and upset by the way she was reacting. She gave a very scolding look and reacted as if she was frustrated why he couldnt speak English well. She also approached at my friend at a very mean, rude manner and told him WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY? WHAT DO YOU WANT?? WHAT??? .....I mean.. thats really really messed up. I mean.. I came in the states here when I was 10 years old and spoke ZERO English. but most people were patient and friendly enough to wait and help me back then..But why is this lady scolding on people who cant speak English??she had some nasty attitude on us and she was shaking her head. I didnt want to argue or cause further issues with her, since I was with my family and church friends.. we were about to head to the church too.. so I stopped my self from getting upset and going at her.. I couldve told the manager about her behavior, but i just let it go and and moved on.Thank God my friend did not understand what was going on.... we moved on and waited for our order, but that nasty female employee kept showing her anger and frustration towards other customers!! I was watching the whole place go down.. it was awkward and uncomfortable, because that Large female employee was having a bad day.. I really felt sad for her and I really hope she gets some personal help..Just heads up to everyone.. she might go off to anyone, any day.. so just keep in mind and dont get in to an argument.. its not worth your time and energy! God bless her and lets stay happy people!!Cant let one person ruin your minute, hour, or day!Other than that large female, every other employees were okay..

Great place to get some awesome pastries and drinks. They did take away my favorite espresso drink, however(the brown sugar latte) so now Im thinking about either a different drink, or none at all. Everything is pretty fresh here a d made right in their kitchen. Thats important to me for freshness. The selection changes daily, but there are some staples. They are most famous for their cakes, so youll want to try a slice, or take one home. Ive tried several and have never been disappointed. Get the brioche. Dont even think about. Go get it.Interesting setup from this Americas point of view. Not your typical bakery - you actually grab a tray yourself and use tongs and grab your own baked goods. Was blown away by the quality and taste of the brioche, as previously stated. I was fortunate enough to go there with an Asian friend of mine, who explained some of the items to me, but I believe everyone there would be friendly enough to help you out if you have questions. The bakery is Taiwanese in origin, and they serve some things that may seem a little off to a typical American palate. Their specialty coffee with the caramel was all right to me - a bit sweet to my taste, but I usually drink my coffee black.Great outdoor seating area. Was busy around lunch time. Will return again.

Still pretty good, but the formula needs an upgrade. When this place opened it was cutting edge - lots of new pastries, and a large variety of coffee/tea/boba type drinks that put it well ahead of the local competition. And they continue to produce pretty good bakery and coffee bar items. But so does everyone else in town, now. The novelty of the exotic pastries has worn off. The only thing really setting 85 Degrees apart is the terrific outdoor fireplace/seating area in front of the business.Im hoping they will overhaul their pastry menu. With Portos less than 10 minutes away and Paris Baguette right across the street, 85 needs to stay fresh and exciting. Too many bland and doughy items for my palette. Id really like to see a little more variety and just different items being offered.

This location is a joke. I called them on 4/29 to pre-order a Mothers Day cake. I picked up the day after, and they charged me full price. No 15% discount. I asked why, and a cashier lady (about 45 years old) said it is only 15% off if I pick up on Mothers Day, and if I pick up early, its full price. Seriously? so whats the point of pre-ordering to get 15% off then. I told her when I called yesterday, I clearly said it was for Mothers Day, so why the person who took my order didnt tell me I have to pick up exactly on Mothers Day to get the discount. She said she didnt know. Well, of course she would say that to not accept any liability. Also, her attitude is another level, like she didnt give a sh!t, and like a lot of people love 85C so its ok to lose a few. Now about the phone ordering. Guess what? I called 3 times to pre-order the cake. The 1st two times, a lady picked up, then put me on hold, and it automatically cut off like 30 seconds later. The third time, a guy picked up, took my pre-order and never told me about the discount rule. What a good customer service! 85C is not even a franchise with individual owners. Its a corporate, and it doesnt even care to train their staffs properly. How lets talk about their online ordering. The ad on Facebook and their app clearly says pre-order online. But how? nowhere in the app or their website has a place to order online. Their website looks so amateur like college-student-built website. How hard is it to hire professionals to build a decent website with online order feature? There are so many small entrepreneurs out there with decent websites. 85C is a large corporation with multiple locations in multiple states, but their website looks like trash. Lastly, they really need to learn from Portos Bakery. Portos has an amazing way to deal with the pandemic, online order, and pickup. Its a shame that a big corporation like 85C has so bad customer service, bad operation, bad website and app.
