DO NOT BUY THIS DESK- 10 Week Desk Debacle. Interesting that despite 20% of the google reviews being 1 star, not a one on the Standdesk.co site is 1 or 2 star and only a small percentage at 3 stars. Theyve obviously filtered them all out, as they did mine they asked for after my desk arrived that isnt on the site. It might have helped to hear all the horror stories before committing to buy, especially in the now saturated standing desk market. I bought the desk and several accessories in June, all were listed in stock and ready to ship. After purchasing I received an email saying that both the desk and the controller were back ordered. The arrival date would pass, I would email and call, and wait, email and call again, then finally receive a reply saying they date changed to the next week. That date would pass, repeat, repeat again with same responses, for a total of three times. In addition to delays, one of the accessories was discontinued after I purchased it. When the desk top arrived, it look absolutely nothing like what I purchased(see picture), so much so that it was refunded. The legs however didnt arrive until the following week, now September. I dont whether it is COVID or just Standdesks struggle to keep up with the market, but this whole experience has been a struggle. You cannot get ahold of a customer service representative in a timely fashion and the end product is not something that makes all of the negative experiences a non issue. Hopefully they figure it out, but I wouldnt be willing to risk three months and the amount of money these desks cost to find out.

My StandDesk standing desk failed after a few years of use. When I contacted the company, they initially told me the desk was under warranty, but then changed their minds because the desk serial number revealed that it was an old Kickstarter model with inferior reliability compared to later models. This was news to me, because I did not buy the desk through Kickstarter or in the years that model was apparently made. So they apparently sent me an old inferior model without my consent, and then later used that fact to deny me any warranty coverage. Their only solution was to try to sell me a whole new desk frame for hundreds of dollars. Im blown away by this business practice. Terrible.

Great for tall people and/or if you have any pain from sitting! Ive worked a desk job for 21 years and by mid-day, my butt hurts from sitting along with a feeling of a pinch in my shoulder. This is caused from sitting and typing or just sitting in a position for too long. Standing is always key, as it allows me to move and be free. Ive purchased numerous ergonomic things in my office, from sit to stand PC tables, chairs, raising computer monitor arms, etc. This is just my advice as Im 62, 225 and low body fat. Regardless of my daily work out routine, having an entire desk that raises very efficiently is just flat out awesome. You dont have to move anything off your desk, everything just raises with you and just hit the button for it all to drop back down. The additional plus here is regular desk height (where I rest my forearms on) causes strain, so the StandingDesk allows you to drop about 1 in lower, should you want to lower it. Our company just purchased 8 more desks after my purchase and plan on ordering another 2 dozen for more employees, as its super functional and does whats needed to have a good work desk environment. I purchased the 72 x 30 desk. *** One thing that I found pretty cool, is matching my other desk top color with my StandDesk. I previously purchased wood looking contact paper from Amazon and just stuck it to my other desk, so it would all match in the same color. I just havent had a chance to do it to this desk as of yet.

STAY AWAY:Ordered a desk late July 2020, they took my money, promised a delivery date via website, next day disclosed it will take 1-3 weeks longer, we are now past that date, and I have yet to have an updated response in terms of timeline as to when I will see my desk that I paid for ~1 month ago. They are non-responsive, so I am out a lot of $$$ holding out hope that I will see my desk in 2020.I really hope to update this review with a much better rating, once I actually receive the desk I bought.Update: After a month, they now inform me it will take an additional 90 days. I cancelled my order.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! When covid started and we started working from home, we decided to purchase a standing desk for our home office. We really liked the fact that the company is based in California. The desk worked nicely for a few weeks but then one of the legs stopped working (June 2020). We emailed customer service and they asked us to send over pics and videos but we did not get a response. After a few weeks they responded and told us that our ticket got lost. So we sent over the pics and videos again. Then we didnt hear from them so we decided to email the founder. They replied saying their ticketing system was having issues so we had to send all details again for the 3 or maybe 4th time. They responded with an order number for a part they said they had to order. That was a few weeks ago (it is now end of September!). I seriously just want to get a refund but we cant even get a hold of anybody. How do you report a business to the BBB?

We were impressed with the quality of the top and the desk from the moment we opened the boxes. First quality paintwork and welds on all parts of the height adjustable frame. This was easy to assemble and works flawlessly. The desk is rock solid in the sitting or standing positions. This fit all our needs in our home office and compliments room. A piece was damaged in shipping during the crazy holidays and the folks at StandDesk responded Immediately, This was especially helpful given wed planned to fully reorganize the office based on arrival of the desk. We were up and running in no time and we remain very happy after more than a month of daily use.

We ordered a desk in July. We were told they were backordered and our order would be delayed. No big deal. Now it is two weeks beyond when it should have shipped. Multiple attempts to get a hold of them. Calls go go voicemail. Multiple ignored emails. So disappointed. I never leave negative reviews, but hoping maybe someone will actually provide customer service if we do.

Ive owned a StandDesk for the past ~3 years and its been absolutely amazing. Its made me healthier, more productive and I just enjoy working way more with it than without.I recently had some issues with my desk and it stopped working as it should so I reached out to the team. They responded super quickly and immediately addressed my concern, covered the parts under warranty, and kept me up to date at every step of the process. Love my desk! I use it in my home office almost every day. I have the bamboo top, and it looks really nice. Its just the right size for my laptop and large monitor.I mostly stand to work, and find I am more alert and have absolutely no backache using the desk. If I have a long conference call I lower it to sit, which is easy with the electric switch. I highly recommend it!

Well where do I start.... I received the original desk and it had one leg that didnt lower all the way. It took them over a week to respond. They sent me a new leg, which also took 11 days to get to my residence. I unboxed the new leg (pictured on the left) AND IT IS THE WRONG LEG. Nothing but problems with stand desk. Pretty sure I wont get an overnight for the correct leg because Im sure they wont respond for a bit. Lost my business and Ill be relaying this to anyone else I can. Get your customer service in order. $600 doesnt seem the correct price for how ive been handled.

Awesome desk. Very nicely designed. Good quality. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I havent been able to find a comfortable chair to go with the desk. I am on the shorter side in height and in my seating position I have to keep the desk in its lowest height and with that setup and because of the u cutout in the middle, I need a chair where the handles will slide underneath the desk.

REVISED REVIEW:Promptly after leaving my negative review a customer service rep did reach out to me. Over the course of a month of back-and-forth I did receive a replacement top. From my experience it seems that this company was unfortunately hit with higher demand during the pandemic than they could handle, so I did have to do a lot of waiting for my replacement, but the overall product I am satisfied with.ORIGINAL REVIEW:One star.My desk arrived in two parts earlier than expected (which was nice), and had no visible shipping damage. However, upon opening the desktop box, I quickly discovered a crack running almost the entire length of the underside, as well as small cracks on some edges. Immediately I filled out their contact form on their site. A few days later, after no reply, I followed up with an email directly to their info email. After no reply to that, I reached out to them via DM on Facebook. Again, I received no reply. I have now also called and left voicemails twice, and find that, again, no one it getting back to me.This has been going on for three weeks.The product itself seems nice, and is affordable (though I cant speak for the electronics as I have not assembled my broken desk). However, this absolute lack of customer service forces me to leave this negative review, and recommend any other potential customers look elsewhere for their standing desk.If the customer service team at Stand Desk does reach out to me and resolves my issues, I will be happy to update my review accordingly.

I love the remote control that takes my desk from standing to sitting position at the push of a button. Desk came in working fine however there are missing parts for the cable management Taco-mesh black (SKU# CMT-04), there was no hooks with the order to be able to attache the cable management to the desk.There are also missing screws for the cable management tray-steel, glossy gray (SKU# CMT-02).I have tried numerous times to get in touch via email and phone but there has been no response, i would like to know what is going on and if i can please get a response!!!!

I purchased a standing desk on July 15, 2020. I contacted the merchant to make a change to the order and was told everything was on backorder and I would need to wait 2-4 weeks for my product, which is fine especially given the increased demand for desks due to COVID.I found another option (a StandDesk I already owned) and relocated the desk from Texas to Colorado. I emailed on July 17, 2020 to ask that my order be cancelled; I received no response. I followed up with two email responses, the final one being an email on July 31, 2020 and received no response.I contacted StandDesk on three occasions via phone and was sent to a voicemail. I left a voicemail the third time and have yet to hear back from this company.They have willingly taken hundreds of dollars of my money and have not responded to my communications. I have since disputed the transaction with my credit card company.I understand COVID makes doing business difficult but not answering basic correspondence regarding sales is unacceptable.

Although the website says the desk will ship in 3-5 days, I have not received tracking info in 12 days. StandDesk has not responded to emails or multiple voicemails (cannot get ahold of them by phone) asking when the desk will ship.Update: 21 days later, StandDesk has told me the desk I ordered is not in stock and will not be restocked for 90 days. They have offered alternatives but I am looking for a full refund at this point.

I usually work long hours at the office and at home, it did not bother me much before but as of late I keep having back pains from time to time.My body is not what it used to be and I don’t really have the time and energy to go to a gym or jog. My Daughter showed me a few articles about health dangers of sitting down for long periods of time and benefits of standing desks.After a few weeks of research I finally decided to buy one. With black Friday deals, I was able to get a good discount from StandDesk.I Love my desk! I feel more active (mentally and physically) and more importantly I don’t feel any back pains anymore. I first experienced a desk from StandDesk at our local co-working space, Anchorspace, in Bar Harbor, Maine and immediately fell in love. Im a fairly athletic person but also deal with a lot of back issues and find sitting to be a really horrible position for me to be in long term. I ordered a StandDesk for my home office for my back but what surprised me the most was how much my productivity increased! I never expected that result but its very very clear that I am able to focus and get more done when standing for most the day. StandDesk customer support has been very responsive if Ive ever had any issues (only one when we had a power surge from a storm) and I just love the quality of the desk. I think its a great value for its price- so much so that I bought a second desk for my non-home office!!

This is a great product for the price. We accidentally grabbed the wrong set of instructions at first but I was able to contact the company and get the correct set emailed to me within a couple of minutes. It did take a few hours to put it together but it was well worth it once it was done.

Standing at my desk now; love it! I have been having lower back issues for years, this has made a huge difference in only two weeks. Specifically, I have less pain in my back and I feel like I am more productive on my feet (the standing pad helped as well). The videos on the website were a lifesaver and made it EASY to put together! No joke, my three year old son helped me assemble the desk. The customer service and follow through has been outstanding. Ive been looking to buy a standing desk for a long time for my home office, since I work from home full-time, but I always hesitated at the cost. I finally took the plunge with StandDesk, who was able to help me with a 15% discount! Their customer service representative checked in with me throughout the process, making sure the desk had been delivered and that I had the instructions to put the desk together when I found that the original packaging didnt include a manual.The desk itself is sturdy (I can lean on it without feeling like its wobbling too much or that its going to break something), with a pretty rock solid frame. Their smallest size natural bamboo top is also the perfect size for my office, which is a pretty small room. Most other standing desks would completely take over the room and be too large––another reason I chose to go with StandDesk originally.The only complaint I had about the desk was that theres a small 2 second delay for the desk to react after I press or release the up/down buttons. When customer service checked in again, I told them that, and now theyre sending me a free Deluxe Memory Handset, which should help the issue. Amazing customer service!

Customer service extraordinaire! I used a coupon to purchase the frame a of a table and get the free white top. Although provided by the StandDesk site the coupon did not seem to work. Quick email to support and the coupon was working.Customer support kept in contact with me every step of the way to make sure I got the correct product and on time. It even arrived 2 days early. Update: After a lot of exchange with customer service they verified that we actually dont want to defraud them and found our money in their accounting system. Thanks to Rahm for resolving this.In the meantime, though, they updated their product and couldnt deliver in the timeframe we needed the desk. They refunded the money and we went ahead with a different vendor.In summary: it took almost 2 weeks to get our money back but at least this worked. I highly recommend they update their online shop system to deal with fraud management by payment providers.----------Original post:We tried to order 2 stand desks over the weekend and unfortunately it didnt go so well.Issue 1: We tried to order 2 desks and chair. When it came to check-out it systems told us it cannot deliver to us (in San Francisco). When inquiring by email we got an answer much later that it should work. We played around and it turned out that we could move on to the delivery process if we removed the chair. Looks like they dont like to sell chairs and we can find them elsewhere. Fair enough.Issue 2: When we ordered we used a debit card for the purchase. When processing the payment Citibank, the card issuer, threw a fraud alert and send us a text to verify the transaction. We did so a few minutes later. Unfortunately, by then the payment process has rejected the payment and Standdesk is not able to pick it up after a fraud mitigation process. However, the debit transaction now came through and the money left our account. When trying to solve this issue the Standdesk representative was very slow to respond and then finger-pointed to everyone else. There is no order in the system since the payment section failed.Right now I am out of my money, I dont have an order in their system, and a customer service representative who is really not willing to help solve the problem.My recommendation if you really want to buy with them: order on the phone since there online ordering process is immature; use a credit card to be able to claw back your money; dont buy chairs.Ill keep updating this as to the final resolution of my missing money.

Bought the basic stand desk frame two years ago and one of the legs raising gear stopped working. I then contacted customer service to replace just that part.The rep replied seeking photo/video description of the issue and following my update, the team just sent me an updated brand new frame. After some many months of use, my bamboo desk started to show a handful of shallow and deep stress cracks on the left side. I e-mailed customer service hoping for a fix and they decided to replace the whole top instead. Fast responses to e-mails and kind employees. Definitely worth the buy!

I purchased the desk with the memory controls around a year ago and I still am excited to tell people how well it works. I cant work any other way now. Sometimes I just get tired of sitting, my back starts hurting or I start feeling sleepy so I adjust to the standing position and I feel better instantly. I will also use the standing position when I am exercising while I work.

I purchased the StandDesk Pro. It is an excellent performing desk and the customer support is OUTSTANDING. Somehow the electrical cords to both legs got damaged in shipment. When I informed the company of the damage, they immediately shipped 2 new legs (OVER NIGHT) and then supplied a return label for the damaged legs. Assembling the desk was fairly easy for two people who normally can’t, or won’t, assemble furniture. The only problem we had was inserting a couple of screws into the hard bamboo top to attach the controller. Having a good drill might have helped. All in all, I highly recommend this company and the desk.

Poor customer service. Declining qualityout of the 6 desks we purchased 3 have failed. The motor lifts the desk at different speeds causing the desk to be tilted.I have been dealing with the company since Feb 2018 and they finally agreed to replace the defective parts but still dont know when they will arrive. I completely supported this company at its start up but the changes they have made have been for the worse.It is impossible to get anyone to call you back.Steer clear of this desk.Update 6.6.2018--I received the replacement parts but they are for the wrong model and will not fit our desks. I notified them of the error and wanted to know how we can resolve this. After multiple emails about this i still have not received any response. Very disappointing.6/18/18 updateStill now response. Phone numbers are disconnected. Their website is still advertising specials for June.8/10/18 UpdateWe have received 2 new desk frames. Built the first one this morning. The controller was dead and we had to pull the controller from the second desk to test. There is still a problem with the desk. Left side rises fine, right side does not rise at the same level. This is the problem we had with the other desk once they had been in use for a few months but this one was like them right out of the box. I have asked for credit backUpdate 10/10/18This is becoming a joke. They now have a valid phone number listed but all calls for any department go to voice mail and they want you to leave your name and number.We still have no resolution to the faulty desks we received. They refused to give us credit back even though they are still under warranty and they cant resolve the problem. We are at a point that we will scrap the desks and all of the replacement parts they sent that dont fit and cut our losses.If you order from their company do so at your own risk. They will fail at some point in the future if they even work correctly at all.

I also purchased the keyboard addition and I did run into a couple of issues with installing it. I emailed their customer service dept and received the help I needed pretty quick. They were VERY responsive and helpful. AND they even FOLLOWED UP with me afterwards to make sure that it was working fine. INCREDIBLE. (There are NO companies that do that these days.) This is one of the few companies that provides a quality product and EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE and would HIGHLY recommend them to my friends and family. (Also, thank you Mike for going above and beyond with handling my last issue. Very much appreciated.)
